Caveats
A sherd broken off in "just the right places" can easily be misclassified as Motif 8. As can be seen from the drawings below, outlining over Motif 7 (left) or a stepped polygon in Motif 4 (right) can both appear to be examples of Motif 8.
Multiple Motifs
Two complete bowls exhibit Motif 8 in conjunction with other motifs. These are illustrated in Motif 3, 42SA3775.623 and Motif 4, 5MT1.9037 a.
